The Platform

Families First!

Stephen commits to serving the community and putting the needs to all families first as commissioner.

Increase Transparency

  • Update the town website.
  • Have and maintain a Town of Trent Woods Facebook and Instagram page.
  • Livestream (Facebook or YouTube) monthly commissioner meetings and other town meetings.
  • Have a detailed budget for citizens to view.
  • Have online payment options available for citizens to pay for annual pet and golf cart registrations.

Listen

  • Listen to all citizens.
  • Be open and available to listen to citizen's issues and concerns.
  • Respond in a timely matter to all concerns.
  • Have educational opportunities for citizens to learn more about how the town functions. 
  • I promise to have a town email address for citizens to contact me.

Creating Town Master Plan

Allowing citizens to see what both the short-term and long-term plans are for the town as well as to allow the board and town staff to meet annual and long-term goals.

Increase Recreational Opportunities For All

  • Have quarterly recreation special events in town.
  • Look to add a canoe/kayak launch in town.
  • Utilize past experiences in Parks and Recreation to enhance parks.
  • Maintain parks and paths in town and ensure the safety of all citizens (young and old).

Maintain Town Infrastructure

  • Have a plan to clean drainage ditches in town right of way.
  • Have long-term plans on which streets get paved yearly.
  • Understand which streets are developer-owned and which ones are town-owned as well as have developers turn their streets over to the town upon completion of development.
